Why We Use Stainless Steel Fasteners on Our Products

Stainless Steel is by far the best material for outdoor fastening applications. It will not rust or tarnish and is very resistant to salt and corrosive liquids including plant organics. Using stainless steel on our obelisks ensures you won't have unwanted discolororation where the screw is in contact with the wood. All other outdoor screw types be it treated, galvanized or brass will create wood discoloration and stains at their points of contact which will only grow over time.This can be particularly bothersome with stained and painted obelisks where the discoloration will be very visible against a colored surface.
